Skyla Schreter

LotusWorks Founder • Certified GYROTONIC® instructor


Originally from New York, Skyla Schreter is an accomplished artist, teacher and movement practitioner. She co-founded LotusWorks Gallery with her partner Aaron Sanders in 2021, and is the Founder and Director of Wellness at LotusWorks. Having honed her skills as a professional ballet dancer for seven years with the San Francisco Ballet, Skyla's artistic journey has evolved to encompass renowned choreography and multidisciplinary creative production, garnering accolades through prestigious commissions and acclaimed film festivals. In addition to developing her body of choreographic work, Skyla is a Professor of Dance at Vassar College.

Following her retirement from the stage as a full-time professional dancer, she suffered a debilitating back injury, which led her to embrace the transformative power of the GYROTONIC® method. As a certified GYROTONIC® instructor under the esteemed guidance of Siobhan Roberts, Billy Macagnone, and Patricia Stewart, she now exclusively offers private sessions at LotusWorks, guiding individuals on their holistic healing and wellness journeys.
